After descending we then head over to the quiet Buddhist monastery of Pidurangula to get an open and unobstructed shot of the rock you have just climbed. From here you can view the national parks of Minneriya and Kaudulla where elephants and leopards patrol the land and where you have the option to go explore in the afternoon.
